HONORS AND AWARDS
• In June 1993, the quilt “Inside the Garden” (private collection), won the following awards at the IX National Patchwork Championships in Norwich (Norfolk, U.K.): “The Quilters Guild Challenge Trophy for Workmanship”; 1st place in the category “All the World’s a Stage”; 1st place for “Free Expression”; 2nd place for “Most Innovative Design”; 2nd place for “Most Striking Use of Color”.
• In October 1998, the quilt “Perusia” was awarded the Yuko Watanabe Best of Show Award” at the VII Pacific Quilt Festival competition “Radiant Memories”.
• In July 2000, the quilt “Florentine Dance” was awarded the 3rd place in the category “A Bright Summer Day” at the National Quilt Championships in Ascot (Berkshire, U.K.).
• Visit of the Folk Art Explorer’s Club tour group, organized by the Museum of American Folk Art, New York, to my studio in Castelli Romani, September 1998.
• Invited guest to the IXth International Quilt Week in Yokohama (Japan), November 2001, and curator of the Italian Quilt Exhibit.
• Invited guest to the IXth Carrefour Europ´een du Patchwork, September 2003.
